The Plan

So we have decided its now or never, time to quit the day jobs and head off round Europe. We have the van, some money and a vague plan!We hope to leave in February and the plan at the moment is to head to Spain and Portugal and catch the winter sun before heading back north as it warms up and then back south next winter. Hopefully we will find enough Internet connections while we are away so I can update this and see if our plan holds true.

Our van is fab, a converted dutch parcel van and it even has a solar panel!
We have it outside the house today which is great (although the neighbours don't agree!), and we have spent some time trying to work out the maze of electrics and get the bathroom light working , essential for our trip to Devon in a few weeks time. There isn't a lot to do as its been set up really well, just a few minor adjustments, curtains and cushions. I am busy sewing and having a great time :0).

This weeks task is to finish the cab blinds and make a start on the seat covers. The cab blinds are being made from silver radiator insulation, and it seems to be working well, although hard going on the fingers. The seat covers are going to match my quilt that I made for GCSE textiles. Can't believe I still have it and some spare fabric to match! Definitely inherited the Newman family magpie trait.
